  • This resource is a useful collection of links to information about Cook's exploration in the HM Bark Endeavour for Year 4 First contacts. It contains infomation about the background to the voyage, the first voyage, and conjecture about the eventual fate of the Endeavour. While this resource makes reference to the scientific reasons for exploratory journeys by Cook, the main emphasis is historical rather than any explanation of the science behind the transit of Venus. This is useful for a multi-disciplinary unit.
